A feeling of lightness
Gentle rhythmic movements may support the movement of superficial fluid and can leave some guests feeling less heavy or puffy. Individual experiences vary.
A ritual with feather light, rhythmic movements for women who want to slow down, feel cared for and leave with a sense of ease. No exaggerated promises, just considered technique, private surroundings and guidance you can trust.
Manual lymphatic drainage is very different from massage with deep pressure. The movements are slow, light and deliberate. At Stressless, it is offered as a wellbeing ritual rather than a medical cure. Every detail is shaped around your comfort, boundaries and preferences.

The feather light pace creates a peaceful alternative for women who find firm massage overstimulating or simply want an unhurried hour of rest.
Pressure, positioning, areas treated and areas avoided are discussed before the session. Draping and professional boundaries are maintained throughout.
Searches for “lymphatic drainage weight loss” are common, but the distinction matters. A change in puffiness, circumference or scale weight immediately after a session can reflect temporary movement of fluid. It does not mean body fat has been removed.
A temporary feeling of lightness, less puffiness or more ease in clothing can occur for some people. Hydration, travel, movement, changes during the menstrual cycle and many other factors can influence how the body feels from day to day.
Manual lymphatic drainage is not a treatment for fat loss, does not permanently reduce body weight and cannot replace nutrition, movement or medical care. Stressless will never promise a number of kilograms or centimetres lost.
Your session is private and never rushed. The technique uses gentle stretching of the skin and rhythmic movements rather than forceful kneading. You remain in control at every stage.
We discuss comfort, pressure, focus areas and anything that may make massage unsuitable.
You are positioned comfortably with professional draping and clear consent before treatment begins.
Slow sequences with a feather light touch are performed in a calm flow across the body and adjusted to you.
There is time to rise slowly, hydrate and ask the therapist any practical aftercare questions.
This page describes a general wellbeing massage for healthy clients. Persistent or unexplained swelling needs assessment by an appropriate healthcare professional. Clinical lymphoedema requires specialist care and may involve more than massage alone.
For general information, see the NHS guidance on lymphoedema treatment, Cancer Research UK guidance on specialist MLD and this systematic review of MLD research. These sources concern clinical care; a Stressless wellbeing appointment is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is £170 for 60 minutes in the studio. For a course of appointments or an outcall visit, please ask the concierge for availability and pricing.
